Man arrested for breaking a window to spy on his NAK*ED neighbour



A man in Lagos has been arrested by police in the state after reports that he spied on his neighbour while she was ba'thing.38-year-old Gbenga Olajiga is said to have broken his neighbour’s window so he could see her while she was nak'ed. The accused was charged for the crime before a Tinubu Magistrate court in the state.

Nabbed: NBC Edits Out IOC Anti-Discrimination Statement From Opening Ceremony




Russia's anti-gay laws have been a major focus in the lead-up to the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, and during his address at today's opening ceremony IOC president Thomas Bach made a strong statement against "any form of discrimination" and in favor of tolerance. Viewers worldwide heard the statement; NBC viewers in the U.S. did not, because the network edited it out.  The video above is how it aired on NBC tonight. You'll notice a very awkward edit. NBC doctors Sochi 2014 live coverage to show 'joyless' Russia #NBCFail



American social networks have been outraged over how their media streamed a censored Sochi opening ceremony, with Twitter recently spotting a new popular hashtag #NBCFail.

A lot of American households had to switch to Canadian and British channels in a desperate attempt to get some unbiased coverage of the event after NBC, who monopolized the right to cover the Games, started streaming a heavily-censored ceremony in the Russian city of Sochi with a ten-hour delay. Basically, all the good pieces about Russia were ruthlessly "doctored" out of the video.

Lasrra to Issue Permanent Card By June



Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) would tentatively commence the issuance of permanent residency registration cards to registered residents of the State by June this year

The General Manager of the Agency Ms. Yinka Fashola disclosed this today during an interactive section with the press in LASRRA Headquarters’ in Ikeja.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome reportedly employs foreign security experts



According to a report by Encomium mag, the Senior Pastor and founder of Christ Embassy, Chris Oyakhilome, has stepped up his personal security. The immensely rich preacher and TV host is said to have employed the services of a foreign security firm in a bid to beef up security around himself.

According to a source at the church who spoke with the mag, the securitymen who started work at the last Christ Embassy Programme were not blacks. "The guys that guard Pastor now are not blacks. They are non-Africans" The source revealed.

Plane crash in Algeria claims 103 lives



A military transport plane carrying relatives of members of the armed forces veered off the runway and crashed on take-off in southern Algeria today February 11th, killing all 103 people onboard. The plane was carrying 99 passengers and 4 crew members.   According to reports coming from news agencies in Algeria, the Air Algerie plane, a Boeing 737, which is the country's national airline, crashed after one of its engines caught fire as it took off in the remote city of Tamanrasset in the Sahara Desert.

APC Falters As PDP Retakes Majority In The House Of Reps




The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has retaken the majority in the Federal House of Representatives with Tuesday’s defection of five members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the ruling party.
Today’s development may have crushed the APC’s big push and momentum to effectively take over the House of Reps following the crisis rocking the ruling party. Those who defected from the APC to the PDP are: Honourables Ladan Shehu Bichi (Kano), Abdulsalam Adamu (Kano), Sani Umar Dangaladima (Zamfara), Shehu Gusau (Zamfara) and Umar Bature (Sokoto). Hon. Isa Mohammed Bashiru however defected to the APC from PDP. With this development, the PDP now has majority with 178 members as against the APC’s 168.

Oritse Femi's dad, died.



Popular Nigerian singer, Oritse Femi, has just lost his father.  The Delta State born act, who just started gaining unprecedented fame lately, following release of his new hit album titled, Double Wahala, lost his 62-year-old father yesterday Monday jan 10/2014.  The deceased, we were told, didn't show any sign of ill-health before he became suddenly ill.  He later died at a medical facility he was rushed to.

We have US war ships that are off the coast of the Ukraine. Supposedly the idea that they are there to help assist Russia if there is a terrorist attack in the resort city of Sochi of course, but could the mission really have two? Could these ships really be on two different missions? Number one- in case there is a terrorist attack and number two- maybe sometime during the Olympics there could be sanctions placed against Ukraine? And with that in mind my question is are sanctions against Ukraine likely to be adopted during this EU Council session?

Hollywood Shirley Temple dies at 85



 Hollywood legend Shirley Temple has died at the age of 85, her family announced today. The actress who found fame as a child star in the 1930s and became the youngest person to receive an Academy Award (She won a special juvenile Oscar in 1935) died on Monday February 10th at her home in Woodside, California, from natural causes.
Shirley Temple was one of the most popular child stars in Hollywood history, getting her first film role at the age of three in 1932. She is No. 18 on the American Film Institute's list of the greatest female American screen legends of all time. May her soul rest in peace. .

President GEJ asks his Chief of Staff Mike Oghiadome to resign



In accordance with a report by Sahara Reporters, President Jonathan has asked his Chief of Staff, Mike Oghiadome to resign. Oghiadohme, 55, was indicted by security operatives in the messy financial misappropriation scandal currently rocking the NNPC.   Oghiadome was a two-term serving deputy Governor of Edo State under Lucky Igbinedion. His sack is with immediate effect.
