When Tayo Ajasa, 34, left his house at about 11 p.m. on August 5, 2013, to find something to eat, he had not idea about the danger that lurked around the corner at the Janet Fagbemi Street, scene of the incident.
 The victim, Tayo Ajasa, is the father of two, born in Ogun State. He works as a drives and came home late at that fateful evening. Tayo decided to go to food vendor in Diamond estate, Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos, to get something to eat for his late diner.

Just In: Jigawa deputy speaker dies in fatal car accident



The Deputy Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Inuwa Sule Udi, (pictured in Agbada) died last night Thursday August 15th while returning to his home in Ringim from Kano. Sule Udi died with his driver in a car accident that occurred at Jogana Village along Kano- Hadejia road during heavy down pour. He was 52. He is survived by two wives and many children.

A 25-year-old man committed suicide on Thursday morning by electrocuting himself on an overhead power line in Nakuru, Kenya. According to an eyewitness, Susan Wachuka, the young man removed all of his clothing before climbing the transmitter line. “We thought it was usual of him to undress,” she said.

Cameroon's President Orders Pentecostal Churches Closed



Yaounde, Cameroon  -- Cameroon's President Paul Biya has ordered the closure of nearly 100 Christian churches in key cities, citing criminal practices organized by Pentecostal pastors that threaten the security of the West African nation. But Pentecostal pastors said the move is evidence of Biya's insecurity about the churches' criticism of the government.

Biya is using the military to permanently shut down all Pentecostal church denominations in the nation's capital, Yaounde, and the North West Regional capital, Bamenda, which have the largest Christian populations in Cameroon.

Patience Jonathan shuts Down Abuja As She Holds Rally With NCWS



Wife of the president, Dame Patience Jonathan locked down Abuja for the better part of Thursday morning as a mass rally and carnival organized to take “stock of the gains recorded so far in the empowerment of Nigerian women and the quest for peace in the country” held at the Eagle Square in Abuja.
While the carnival organized by the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) in collaboration with the office of the First Lady of the Federation held, residents and visitors to Abuja were subjected to unwarranted restriction and security cordon.

Man Nabbed For Receiving Oral $-éx On A Plane In Front Of Passengers



A winery director accused of partaking in lewd s-éx acts during a flight to Las Vegas in full view of passengers has been forced to take a leave of absence by his father.

Troon Vineyards announced on its Facebook page on Monday that Chris Martin has been replaced pending the court case against him.

Martin, 44, and Jessica Stroble, 33, were arrested in June after getting off an Allegiant Airlines flight from Medford, Oregon.
